I found these decaying photos in a lot of documents I just bought, and I wanted to share them here.

Beautiful, Makanudo, I love the mood of all of them. Have you found the photographer/studio yet?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

They remind me of postcards of the early 20th century, taken of beautiful women of the day. Are they postcards, or larger?

These women are all identified. Some early postcards were just of anonymous models. These photos are the other kind, of known people.

I have two postcards of the woman in your second photo. She used the name Saharet. If I recall correctly, research showed that she was primarily a dancer and actress, originally from Australia. Can't remember her birth name but you could do some research. I remember that her life was mysterious in some way.

    Hi Figtree3,

You are quite correct. The photos are larger than postcards and on a thinner paper, consistent with the era.
    Their size is 6.5x8.5 inches

Question: Was it a “thing” in the 20’s-30’s to have you’re own photographs(vacation photos for example)printed in postcard form? I’m think I’m finding this kind thing, although the card stock is fairly thin.
    Thank You!

I don't know about the '20s and '30s, but it was popular before WWI for people to have postcards made with photos of their family members.

Ok. Perhaps these are a little earlier than I thought. If correspondences via mail was the Facebook of the day that would’ve been the Instagram.
