Piece of Pottery, I can't read the stamp/mark

    IMG_1079.JPG IMG_1080.JPG IMG_1078.JPG IMG_1077.JPG IMG_1076.JPG I bought this and I was wondering if this is a modern Item or older? Illegible marking on side with numbers below, looks like ##83 (with # representing an illegible number) the stamp appears to say howe

    I was thinking the same thing.

    Can you rub some cinnamon or cornstarch into the mark to see if any letters stand out.

    I believe that is the shape of their mark. Looks like 1980's era based on pieces of Rowe my parents have.

    Almost looks like a semi-visible 'N'.....but that's all I potentially see.....also maybe a small heart near bottom left.....
