Plaster Cast Trinket Dish?

    Hi Everyone

    I purchased this today and would be grateful if anyone can identify it
    for me.

    I missed the EIGHT POUNDS......cold painted bronze...???
    I'd be lookin under the felt for a mark...

    Plaster wouldn't weight 8 pounds in that size even if were on the thick side.

    In the 70s-80s art nouveau was very popular and there were many reproductions made. Thats what I think this might be. That being said,its fantastic and Id have bought it! Think about soaking it to remove the felt,there might be a signature on it.

    Hi Guys

    Thanks for your replies i have removed the felt but there is
    no marks on base see photo, also it is not made of any
    metal because i have tested it with a metal detector and
    receive no sound from it, possibly resin as said.

    I thought the art nouveau revival happened in the late 60's and early 70's. Did it really continue into the 80's? There was the whole Victorian revival back in 80's though.

    Polystone is quite heavy.
