Featured Plastic beads necklace, not Bakelite perhaps??

Hi,
I had this necklace for some time, bought because it looks like Bakelite, but I think it’s not as I tested it with simicrome solution.
@Any Jewelry this looks to me something you would be able to pass an option.
How old is it and where from? It’s not amber, I am sure if it.

Hmm, I was gonna say not, but there's something about them yellow ones, have you tried uv on them ?

Yes, I have tried UV light, they don’t glow.
I don’t think they are amber or Bakelite.
The blue beads look like glass and feel like sand, the small brown ones feel like wood.
Interesting combo!

The glass ones I believe are sand cast trade beads from Africa. Here is the pic. Dead link.

 

I was thinking recycled African powder glass and ... good question. Faturan maybe?

 

The faux amber ones look like the ones they use in the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia and neighbours. So likely a mix of African trade beads.
