Featured Plastic Beads

They seem to be inspired by Chinese red lacquer beads but I guess modern molded plastic?

 

Too nice to be modern, IMHO. Thinking 1920/1930 from the mounting.
Are you sure they are plastic? Heavy or light? Cold or warm if put in contact with your lips? A gentle tap tap on one front tooth will say!
What are the intermediate faceted ones made of?
Length of the necklace? Is there a clasp, if yes, it would help to see it

 

Lightweight, for sure plastic . Facet spacers also plastic. No clasp. Long, prob hanging below chest.
They give the impression of being hand carved but in my opinion, molded.

 

So... nice plastic, very Deco style!

 

Picture of the entire thing would be helpful, just allows us to estimate the age better when you can see the full design of the piece.

So the silver colored spacers are plastic?

Thinking maybe this is a bit later with the plastic spacers. Cool beads though.

 

I’ve seen this design in carved cinnabar lacquer, turquoise, wood, imitation resins of the above but never in plastic with this color.
