Featured Please help ID Blue Opalescent glass ~ maybe Grandmom's

    Vase: Has a rigaree and rough pontil, 6" tall
    Jug: Rough pontil, 5 1/4" tall, is 'tail' on handle a clue Side 1.JPG Top 1.JPG Bot 1.JPG Side 1.JPG Handl 1.JPG Bot 1.JPG Top 1.JPG
    Have searched all on ebay and can't find any shaped like these.

    I immediately thought Fenton, but realized they don't usually have pontils. Maybe a Fenton "offhand" piece from the 20s? Lovely piece!

    I think I see a faint Fenton mark on bottom.

    Maybe what appears to be a pontil is a cut shut mark instead.

    Believe these to be 1960s glass from one of the West Virginia companies.
    Bischoff, Rainbow, Wheeling are possible starting points

    My guess would be Rainbow, but could be any of the WVA makers as mentioned by CC.

    blue and white splatter glass Rainbow W va.jpg This is Rainbow from west virginia….similar look

    Thank you Cluttered and Aaron. Doing some further investigation. Also, Grandmom lived in the eastern panhandle of WVa and these may have been bought from the Tinker who came by the farm with his wonderful truck of treasures! The tinker had really upgraded by then from a wagon to a truck!
