Please help ID teapot - chinese ?

    20210305_130707.jpg 20210305_130349.jpg 20210305_130047.jpg Please help me roughly age and know a bit more about this teapot. I've searched and can't find anything. I don't think it's very old but I'm quite taken with it. The marks are both under the lid and bottom of the teapot and painted in a gold tone paint. Many thanks in advance for your time

    I'm no expert, but I say it is Japanese.

    There’s a bit of raised white detailing. I don’t want to use the term moriage, as that’s always controversial. :)

    I think it looks more like enameling @i need help . Moriage looks like cake icing.

    Agree with everyone else, looks Japanese with raised enamels. Not sure about the mark, I don't think it can be just a badly formed Japan in this case.

    Why say "badly formed"? I'd say gourd-shaped.

    The script on the base - Nihon is 日本, but this looks more like 月十 (month 10), which is probably wrong as it doesn't make sense.

    agree with Japanese too, the lobed shape, with the vitreous type porcelain, and the floral finial. As for date I think C1900, for the style and quality of the porcelain. The marks might be for the fabrication of keeping two pieces with same mark together, so they fit well.

    Thank you for the additional information, I appreciate it. This were meant to be used yes? I'm working from home and wanted to treat myself to using some nice pieces during the day. :)
