Please help identify this figurine

Hi guys.

Can anyone help with information on this Asian /oriental figurine? The only identification is the number 171 at the bottom. I also don't know if it is ivory or plastic. I am asking for a friend, I do not have the item with me...

From the bottom, it looks to me like resin.

It is lovely though, has an Art Deco look. I know many of these Asian type resin figurines were made in Italy, but can't say for sure yours is.
There is a market for these better quality resin figurines, and they have some value.

With that combination of Asian and Art Deco, I would be tempted to buy one like her. (No, I won't be buying this one.)
