Screams 1980s.

 

Found a pair of the nightstands and chest for sale. Doesn't list a maker but says made in Italy, 1970's. That would have been my first guess too. Here's the link:

please How did you search for this

 

Going off the assumption they were Italian from the 70's I did some Google image searches with various sets of keywords like: "Italian white lacquer bedroom furniture 1970's" and happened to spot the listing with the chest and nightstands. I do lots of image searches and have developed an eye for spotting small distinct details in furniture. A rather unmarketable skill for the most part, but it's always interesting to learn about a new designer or maker. If you have a good clean image, the Pinterest Visual Search Tool can also be very helpful in finding similar images.
