I am going through some baskets I inherited and selling some on ebay. I am trying to gather info so any help ya'll could provide support would be greatly appreciated. I believe this is native American. What tribe could have made it?Would $50 be a reasonable price for it? I believe it is pretty old

I suspect this basket is from the Philippines. Although it can be difficult to make positive identifications from photos alone, it looks like the material used for the dyed surface elements (the parts under the stitching that look sort of like corn husks) may be abaca. Abaca is a fiber derived from the stems of a relative of the banana plant, Musa textilis (also known as Manila hemp). The stitching looks like pandanus, or a similar palm-derived fiber. The basket was probably made for export as a bread basket.

If you have other baskets for us to look at, please vary the titles of your posts. I did not realize that you had posted a second basket because the title was the same as your first post.
