Hello to all at Antiquers! I have these plates, I have kept back for some time as thought they were interesting and appear to have some age. I have now decided I will be selling them but not don't know the maker, if I was to say I would go with Mason's, Spode, Booths but not too sure. I can't seem to find these anywhere online, or this particular pattern. I would also like to know what flower is used on the plates.

I didn't know about this site, now saved in my favourites. Unfortunately did not get this pattern in the results, plenty of Spode and masons look similar with their patterns but apart from the one on Chairish which is now a dead link, I can't locate this design anywhere.. So far

Oh well, I thought is was worth a try.

One thing, do not use their prices when you are trying to sell something, they tend to be high.

Yeah again thank you it is a great site for reference and knowledge of items but I can see the prices are near top retail London antique shop prices, I would quarter these prices atleast.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

@Ownedbybear , do you have any thoughts on the maker of the plates?

Hello Emily! It would be best to start your own thread for your item. Please include a photo of the base and any marks.

They’re certainly a Staffordshire maker, but as to who, that’s a quandary. The problem is we had hundreds of factories and some transfers were used by more than one maker. You’ve got auricula and carnations, plus forget me nots. That’s all very typical of, oh, around the 1830s onwards.

Interesting plates. That chipping to the edges and the foot rims remind me of French faience. I'm sure that they are c mid 19th century but can't help you with an identification sadly.
