Hello everyone. I am new to the antique world. I found this thing. Can please somebody to tell me something about this work. In one gallery told me that material is camel bone, but I can't find anything like this from camel bone, or ivory bone, just made of wood, but I am pretty sure that this is not wood. Base color is white/light beige, you can see in places where the paint is peeled off. I think it is painted with natural color because it is very easy to remove. Dimensions are 54x30cm, weight is 4kg. Thanks in advance. Here are pictures.

I can’t be sure but I’ve a suspicion it’s a dyed resin, I can see a couple of resin holes. It’s trying to look like Chinese cinnabar lacquer work. Wait for others opinions though.

Thank you very much for your answer. Do you maybe know what materials are usually used for "Chinese cinnabar lacquer work", only wood or other materials too. Thanks.

I think resin too. From mmarkomnl's description, painted or coated with something. Welcome, @mmarkomnl
