Featured Please help with this glass

Hello all, I found this bowl or dish. It has a Murano Glass sticker similar to Fratelli Toso sticker but it's a different color sticker. I can't find the exact sticker or any thing that looks like it. It is about 7.25" x 9.5" Any information is appreciated.

 

That’s a Toso label that has faded, I’ve seen faded labels like this many times, especially the foil ones.

 

Thank you. I know nothing about art glass. I like it and want to learn. This maybe a stupid question but is every piece different? No two alike? Is this piece considered a bowl or dish? What is the approximate age?

 

It is considered an ashtray.

Since these are hand made they might be similar but likely would not be identical. You may want to search using the word "aventurine" which is the gold design.

That's what I was thinking. Ash trays are not the first thing we think of these days, but it certainly looks like one and believe it or not they used to be quite special pieces.

 

So do you think mid century? I read the history of the glass maker. Seems like the date may be just something you know from experience.
