Please Help

I have a Eastlake walnut marble top dresser and wash stand that I got from my family,that belong to my great great grandmother. The washstand was restored in the 80s the dresser was restored last year. It was missing 3 pulls and I have been looking for a year now I found 5 bails and posts in the UK but I can't find the backplates. I'm talking to a guy that can make them but I wanted to see if I can fined original first I need 14 back plates because I found a side lock chest of drawers that matches the set just want the pulls to match. Any help would be great.

Yikes! You could spend a lifetime finding that many originals. Ebay is your best bet for finding period hardware. I would not confine your search to just Eastlake, since this pull doesn't scream such. I would use more general terms such as antique brass bail pull. Might even leave off bail since many sellers might not think to use it.

 

Just a thought, you may consider purchasing a whole lot of the same pulls, especially if you cannot for certain verify if the ones you have are original?

I have been looking outside of Eastlake I was thinking it wasn't because of the roundnes just never seen this backplate in general

 

Any chance we can see the whole dresser??? Looks like someone did a VERY nice restoration job!!!!
