    Hi there,

I believe this frame and mirror was originally part of a vanity/dresser but I am not sure.

It was purchased in Ohio, USA.

The back reads “785-I twin mirror classic villa played by Lenoir.”

    There are no other markings.

Can anyone help me ID (even just the time period would be great).

    Thanks!

Looks more like a hall stand mirror to me.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Sure looks like it was attached to a dresser, but after a search I found nothing looking like it, so tagging a couple of the more knowledgeable members!!! @verybrad, @Ghopper1924 !! BTW, Welcome to Antiquers, and LOVE the dog!!!!:):):)

The mirror was "plated by Lenoir" not played. Mirrors are glass with silver on the back, in this case "plated."

There is still a Lenoir Furniture Company in Tennessee. It's possible that they could have been responsible for plating the mirror, but if not it could have been made at any one of dozens of locations across the U.S.

Agree with Aquitaine and the o.p. that it belonged to a dresser, one of a pair. The styling looks like the 1970s or 80s, but it could conceivably be even more recent. Value is minimal.

Agree with Ghopper. Circa 1980 dresser mirror. Often bought in pairs or sometimes just a single offset to one side for an asymmetrical look. Minimal value. No one wants dresser mirrors these days. We routinely buy dressers to sell, often removing mirrors to sell separately once rigged for wall mounting or donate to the thrift stores.

Lenoir, NC is a furniture manufacturing town. The Lenoir Mirror Co. is there and services a number of makers.
