    Hello everyone,

I have a pretty little porcelain box with the remnants of a label which I think reads Broqua & Scholberg Montivideo. There is also a mark of some kind - Japanese or Chinese - in red. It measures 1.5 x 3". Unfortunately, there is a crack on the side but it's still beautiful. Any idea of its age or what the red mark means? Thank you!

I think the red mark is a pseudo-Chinese mark used by Porcelaine de Paris. I previously thought it was Edme Samson, and apparently so do a lot of other people, but I just read an article that says they didn't use these marks.
