Hello folks! I've got this pitcher that I'm having trouble pinning down. I suspect it's Japanese but want to be sure it's not German. It stands 3 3/4" tall. The bottom is marked C-179. It's the sloppiness of the decoration and the style of the mark that lead me to believe it's a later Japanese piece. On the other hand it's a fairly nice mold. Rather than keep scratching my head (I'm afraid I'll lost what hair I have left) I thought I'd ask my board buddies. Any opinions? Thanks!

I think that's moulded and painted rather than proper jasperware.

Hi fidbald and ownedbybear - it is indeed moulded and painted.
