I bought this rabbit earlier today and It was one of those buys, that you really aren't for sure but your willing to take a chance on. Normally i wouldn't buy anything like this. rabbits really aren't my thing but I just love the hand painted decorations. It has those velvet pads on the bottom, so i was thinking more vintage, but at the same time those pads could have been added by anyone at any time. Love to hear yalls opinions.

    8" height
    7" length
    3.5" wide

Hi thanks for all of your research, I didnt even think about searching for staffordshire. Im just use to seeing there spaniel dogs. I really dont know to much about staffordshire, how are you able to tell if its a repro or authentic piece

Keep him! Unless, of course, your next-weeks groceries depend upon his sale.

lol, I think i will keep him. i have a nice little spot on above my fire place i might put him. But i might have to get rid him. my wife is already calling me a border line hoarder.

It a good bargaining chip then. When you find something you like more, just say Ohhhh ok, I’ll get rid of the rabbit. (If I can keep this)

They left it out in the rain in a muddy field, and someone tripped over it, leaving it "without any overt chips, scratches, or blemishes", only hidden ones.

Keep the bunny; chuck the borderlines.

The take away message here seems to be that holes, even though the ones in your bunny do not look 'dime sized', are an indicator of newer:

There is a pair of the blue ones listed as reproductions on Ebay. Seller has relisted three times, unsold. You might compare to the photos. Guessing yours is a repro but honestly I don't know anything about these. Might be a vintage repro at least. It's cute.
