Found this porcelain rice bowl today, but I am not sure if it is Japanese or Chinese. Also wondering if anyone might have any idea of age? Has a nice crackle glaze with thre hand painted white herons or cranes. It is signed on the bottom. Measures 4 1/8" wide and is 2 1/8" tall. If I had to guess I'd guess Japanese due to the decoration. Nice neat well-made item, late 20th C? The writing looks upside-down but since I don't read any Asian languages I don't know why I think that. But now that I've written an entirely worthless, equivocal post I think I'll go to bed.
