Portuguese is difficult - Can anyone help me with translation?

    As the picture shows, this plate / ceramic is Portuguese.

    I wonder what's up (see pictures)

    Beautiful, and typically Portuguese. That is what the 17th century is about, it is a classic 17th century Portuguese design, but made later.
    Maybe @Walter Del Pellegrino can tell us more about it.

    It says Conimbriga's star. Conimbriga is a village in Portugal.
    17th century.
    São could be like Saint Peter (São Pedro) or it could be like you are good (vocês São bons), maybe there was another word or something...

    I think that in this case "São" was the name of the painter as it was for the well-known Portuguese socialite Maria "São" Schlumberger. (Here she is in her multi-image portrait by Andy Warhol.)
