Possible Authentic Handheld Oriental Fans

I stumbled across some oriental-themed fans and I’m not sure if they’re worth anything. What are some thoughts on this?

From what I can see of the tiny photo, these are all ca 1940s-60s Japanese advertising fans and gift fans handed out by shops, restaurants and hotels to their customers
They were most likely made in Boshu, southern Japan, which has a lot of bamboo for the frames.
Bamboo fan production in Boshu dates from the 1870s-80s, and is still going on. The paper would have been designed by an advertising company, and the prints mass produced.

I am sorry, I have no idea. I am better at identifying than at values.
But now that you know what they are, you can look on ebay, etc.
I would be able to pin the age down more if you post photos of the individual fans.

From what I can tell, they are all advertising fans from the 50s-60s.
Although people collect advertising fans, there are so many Japanese ones I don't know if there is much value here. They are fun, and a nice part of social history, but that is probably as far as it goes.

Collectible advertising fans are mostly ca 1890-1910 European ones from famous places like the Café de Paris in Monte Carlo.

 

If you’re a fan of fans I’ll have to post the ones I have some day. I bought a small box of them at auction. I couldn’t know less about them but there seems to be a couple cool ones. Condition issues but neat to look at.
