I was told this is a mask from Oaxaca, Mexico.
Does anyone as a different idea?

It isn't in the style of wood carvings from Oaxaca. Whenever you see these prominent upper and lower eyelashes, it is usually from Guatemala. I have seen this style of scorpion mask identified as both from Mexico, and from Guatemala, however, so it may be Mexican, but I doubt if it is Oaxacan.
