    I have this steel plate engraving called "The Tomb of Grace Darling". Daughter of a light-house keeper, she became a reluctant national hero - a secular saint - an early meme - in England after her part in rescuing shipwreck survivors in 1838. This very, very Victorian engraving actually shows her cenotaph; the grave site is nearby.
