I found a box of postcards at a garage sale a year or so ago that had Andy Warhol, Dali - even the Sex Pistols, The Cure & U2!
That made me buy some bags of cards at a local thrift occasionally - got some cool ones like Thomas Edison & Robert E. Lee.
I've never done anything with them; I stuck them in a drawer & forgot about them, but then I saw the post here about some postcards so I thought I'd find out what I have?
Below is a sample - I know the music ones are newer, but still collectible, right?
Aany thoughts would be appreciated - thank you!

Generally, postcards post 1940's don't have as much interest in the postcard collecting community but could have interest in other niches like pop-culture collectors. Prices would also depend on how many of these were produced. You might want to search eBay since they are the market maker on a lot of ephemera. I will say the Lee and Thomas Edison cards likely have minimal value.

A lot of the retro cards look like 1980s reprints. The backs are important for determining if that's the case.

    Exactly.

We need to see the backs. They might even be 1990s. There was a trend where companies were selling boxes of pretty nice quality "art post cards" or "rock and roll" theme postcards.

I know because I have a friend who is in a postcard mailing club (postcrossings) and she came to visit and we snagged a such a box at a thrift store. She was so jazzed.

That said, this does appear to be a mix of cards. Some may be older. But the backs are almost more important than the fronts!

Sometimes there is tiny writing on the backs indicating the manufacturer. This can hold a lot of info as to date, etc.

The design of post card backs has changed over time. They provide lots of clues as to dating.

Some of the more recent ones in the 80's & 90'S may well have a copyright date printed on the card.
