POTTERY AND WOOD

Hi can anyone tell me the origins of this item and what it was used for?
it is 9 x 9 inches and the potter item are 3 x 4 x 2 inches and appear to be stonewear.

 

Hi do those pottery sections come out like drawers?
If so, it may be a kitchen spice or condiment cabinet.

 

These came out of places like Pier One a few years ago,pity about the missing drawer.

 

Little decorative chest, which could be used for jewelry or some such. Originally these came from México. Given painted designs on ceramic, yours appears to have been imported from India. Shame about condition -- missing drawer, water stained top.

Yep. I haven't bothered going into one in years, but it's a common name to find on home dec items.

 

Particularly moderately priced imported ones.

 

Yep. That one did come from Pier One. Sold one a few months ago at an estate sale that still had the store tag on the bottom. Think we sold it for $24.00.
