Pottery Cream Pitcher - Shell Theme - Origins? Age?

    Hello everyone! I'm looking for help with this little cream pitcher. It's about 5" tall. I rather like the design but it does have some condition issues but still presents decently. I don't know where to start on researching it. Any help regarding its age or origins would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Is something stamped in the center? The handle reminds me a bit of a seahorse. :)

    Thank you, INH. I've turned that center every which way but can't make much out. I think it's the numbers 3635 scratched into the base.
