    Hi All,
these pieces are coming up in a local on-line auction. I like the look of them so I'm going to bid on them. Would these be southwest pottery? The one is signed on the base but I'm not finding anything. Would these be studio pottery?
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking

Not traditional SW Native American or Mexican pottery. I would assume artisan/studio/student work.

lol komokwa:) are you saying I have no taste in pottery:) I think they would be great in the garden. Around here stuff goes pretty cheap, I don't imagine the group of them will go above $5.00

I know nothing about pottery, but the fact that you are thinking of flowers during this terrible time, makes for a positive attitude. I hope you get em if you can at a bargain and plant those flowers.

It looks like a lot of work went into the mosaic borders. I like ‘em enough. :)

Make sure you check to see if they are glazed on the inside. Otherwise, they will slowly degrade as the water seeps into the clay. Also, I'm not seeing a hole for drainage. Drilling holes into pots can be iffy. No hole, you encourage root rot.
