    Hello
My name is Bill. I am hoping someone can shed some light on this pottery vase. I have had no luck anywhere which of course could mean it is junk.
Any input would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

I think that's an upside down Italy.

    A second for Janetp's thought.
Made for export or it would be ailatI.

That's all I can do, but posting because I happen to like it. Brand new or 100 years old. Unless it's precariously held together with school glue - It's not junk.

Two not so friendly looking swans. But that's true for 99% of swans. And a purely fictitious wren who's tail prevents him from flying. YES! Different and interesting.

Also, just a guess - is it about 12 inches tall? Or a few inches more?

Do you mean nazionali nel paese d'Italia? Or domestic in USA?

Just Kidding, Owned. But would it be displayed mainly in tourist shops? I've never visited Italy, but generally that would be true in most other countries.

Komo, thanks. That includes even when you're wrong. Right? :meh:

The ones I've seen in various shops in Italy have said Italy - some tourist shops, some others. I suspect that in the EU generally, the anglicised form is used, and was even back in the 60s or so.

    Yeah, Italian domestic. ;)

I agree upside down Italy and most likely from the 50's or 60's.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Walter does belong to this board, but I think drops by only occasionally and might mostly look at the PGP area.

Looks like last time he logged in was in September, but he might sometimes drop by to look without logging in... no way to tell.
