    Hi,
I am a little confused by the photos. Which is the bottom? If the one with the stilt marks is the interior bottom, then it makes no sense. perhaps they are not stilt marks but just glaze drips?

I know it does not make sense. Those one the interior bottom are stilt marks. So, if the pieces was fired upside down the glaze should not run to the bottom. Maybe it was double fired?

    Hi,
I have seen a few things fired upside down usually heavy Japanese bonsai trays which are shallow but never seen one as deep as your's is. Making stilts that tall does not make sense. It makes more sense that they are drips and just look like stilt marks. It looks like there might be faint stilt marks on the real bottom in the glaze. I think it is one of those things that you think what is up with that.

    Hi Janet,
Thank you for the ID. I kept wavering between Owens and Weller.
