    Hello everyone,

I found these plates this afternoon, and I have no idea what pottery this is.
I live in France and I found those in the Brittany region.
They are brown transferwares, not very common in here.
B.&.B. ? Does someone know this mark, please?
    Thank you and happy holidays!

It's British, mid 19th C. Several possibilities: Beardmore and Birks, Bailey and Ball, Bridgwood and Burgess and some others. Flora is the pattern name.

    Thanks!
I've searched these potteries but didn't find the same mark...
And could you please tell me how do you know that it's mid 19th?
    Happy holidays!

The reference I use is the excellent marks book by Godden. It's actually more comprehensive than most internet sources.

Dating: it's the style, the colour and the design amongst other things. I'm in the UK, so we see a great deal of it.

These are from Godden's book of marks. None of the information on any of these show your mark however many mention that B&B was part of many marks they made.

Thank you very much for the explanation!^^
The only image that I found on the internet was this:
    3.JPG
The same pattern as my plates but the page was deleted.
I think maybe it's impossible for me to find which pottery exactly it is, but at least I know the year now.
    Thanks again!

Yup, those are the pages I was looking at.

I'd add that sometimes these transfers were sold to more than one factory, which complicates matters!
