I have a sugar bowl lid that was repaired many, many years ago and has darkened over time. Can this be repaired again? I would like to tell the buyer yes and by whom. Pictures below.

Do you want to tell them to soak it in hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the dark line? Wouldn't a repair involve breaking it? I mean, is it worth it?

I don't know how a ceramist would go about doing it, nor do I know the cost or even if it can be done. As far as being worth it, I guess it would depend on how much you love it.

Please include your photos in your post, rather than as attached files. Many of us will not click on unknown files. If you need help with uploading them, you can read this post assembled by komokwa that explains how -

With regard to your sugar bowl lid, are you saying the repair line/adhesive has darkened? Depending on what adhesive was used, it might be reversible. But seeing pictures will be helpful.

I used to be able to put the photos inline, but the last 2 posts didn't give me that option. Ill go read komokwa's post.

Just wondering, do you already have a buyer for it?
    And is it collectible?
If there is no buyer and it isn't collectible, I don't think anyone would want to spend what it takes to get it repaired properly.:(

I'd probably leave bad enough alone, unless we were somewhere they still do staple repairs. People collect staple-repair pieces.

It will be a donation. Someone out there will love it, even with its flaws.
