Featured Pottery vase Asian? Studio?

    Thrift store find. Kind of get an Asian vibe from this but can find nothing similar. Pretty heavy for size (about 7" tall), hand thrown. Any ideas?

    I think studio rather than Asian. Nice, and older imo.

    maybe a bit inspired by, but the base doesnt look asian

    Looks like someone was attempting a sang de boeuf glaze. Could be southeast Asian (as in Viet Nam and other places that produce all those pottery garden pots and planters which are very thick).

    whenever I see this color it reminds me of Ruskin pottery - the finish isn't right but I decided to word search anyhow - and I can confirm it's not Ruskin HOWEVER a funny thing - I looked at a vase and discovered the seller is Laurence & Sally of Storage Wars fame lmao

    Now, kent, that is not a very nice thing to say about pots and planters.:stop:
    True, I have never been able to have an intelligent conversation with them, but you never know what is hidden under that glaze.
