Featured Potties,japanese teapot help ?

    Hi all. I am hopeless at asian marks,so heres hoping yall can help with this adorable little pot. Its 3x5 ,and I love the simple lines of it. I know theres a term for this kind of pottery,but darned if I can remember. Any input is always appreciated.

    Yixing ! Thats it ! Ive been trying to remember that for hours! I am truly hopeless at asian marks,Ive never once been able to find one.

    I always love these. It is a brewing pot, rather than a teapot.
    Yixing - Zisha is considered to be the best clay for brewing tea. Here is a good explanation of why Yixing brewing pots are desirable and what to look for in a good Yixing pot:

    It does a Yixing tea pot.
    The craftman name "Cai Meizhu", who is a Taiwanese female. It should be an orginal one. The normal retail price for the tea pot of this craftman is between hundred Yuan to thousand Yuan.

    Thank you so very much ! Not a rare antique after all,but I just love the lines. for .50 you cant go wrong! :)
