She does not seem to have the hair of the Pre-Raphaelite woman.

    Roaring-Poss a sketch by a late/early 19th-20th Cent Illustrator (ie: Rackham,etc) ?

maybe a older tonalist study, but these 19th artists were so well trained in naturalism/realism-many could bang out a study in prob 15-20 minutes.w/o a verifiable signature/ provenance yr pretty much sunk in the BIG Art World (Sotheby's,Christies, etc). But with the correct signed and documented 'chickenscratch' -you just might pay off your house and have $ left over for the kid's college.

I think likely Edwardian, and it does bring Rackham to mind, probably because of the subject matter - otherwise no connection between this and him.

agree re Rackham-lots of fantasy art in Victorian and Edwardian eras.
