A local woman currently had a display of Depression glass in the library. I thought I could sell some of what I inherited to her. I contacted her through Facebook, and she seemed interested, although I didn't put a price on anything.

I've looked on eBay and either they didn't have EXACTLY the same as I do, or there were no "sold" listings for it. Is there an online site that gives realistic values of DG?

This is what I can bear to part with at the moment (it is all UV reactive):

The realistic value can be found on ebay.
Depression glass for the most part has lost most of it's value unless it is a rare piece.
I have a lot of depression glass here that I collected and it is not where near what I paid for it.

It may be that they didn't sell because people no longer want this stuff.
    Good luck.

Agree that depression glass is way down, but the glowing ones can have a following.

Deb, you've done the hard work ID-ing these.

Just looking at the first two you listed I found both on Ebay. Hope I'm comparing apples to apples.

There is a footed Fenton Stag and Holly unsold at $50. I didn't see an example sold, but since unsold, this tells you it is worth "something less" than $50.

    eBay item number:305918509809

A couple of the salt and pepper shakers under Ebay sold searching: "Hazel Florentine salt and pepper". They looked the same as yours but maybe double check. One set sold for $37 and the other for $54.99.

    eBay item number:205301139492
    eBay item number:236013286161

I always like to see Ebay values, then I drop the price significantly if I'm going for a quick sale. A lot of these Ebay items sit for months and months before finally selling so important to remember that when pricing for a quick sale.

    Best of luck! :)

Agreed with the others... Depression glass has a following because it was, and is, an inexpensive pretty thing. Personally, I would worry less about squeezing every last $5 out of your pieces, and be happy someone who is gonna love them would like to take them home. Less work for you when you've got a lovely home full!

I agree, check recent ebay completed listings for a realistic selling price. Depression glass doesn't sell for what it used to, but uranium pieces sell better than non uranium pieces :)

I have the 11th edition of the Gene Florence DG price guide that my mom had. It is horribly out-of-date on prices. The only thing it's good for is pattern ID.

For instance, the Florentine shakers re $42.50. The Horseshoe sugar and creamer are listed separately and would be $29.50 combined. The Parrot bowl is $52.50. The Peacock & Rose bow is $85. The Princess sugar & creamer are $24 combined. the Stag & Holly bowl isn't in that book.

I agree, I use a lot of the "Pricing Guides" for IDing only. Even when they first came out they were not accurate on pricing!

You are lucky that you have some very desirable pieces. ( Parrot, Peacock and Wild rose), That you may get a decent price for. Some of the more common, not so much. Be prepared that your buyer would offer you about 50% of any eBay sold comps you find. I still hunt depression glass and if I find popular patterns cheap, I buy it. The common patterns Has to be REAL cheap to buy.But I have hope that it's popularity will rebound,

It is very funny to me to see places like Anthropologie trade in "vintage" and "cottage/granny core" and make glasses and kitchenware that looks like Depression glass. Girlies, that stuff is cheap at the thrift already and you'll be the unique one in your friend group!
