    Here's a table I'm curious about.
Beech I believe. 20 inches or so wide. Thought it was new from old parts, but it has old pegs and signs of paint. Is this a form anyone has seen?

How tall? I'm almost thinking it is a stool rather than a table.

Wish we knew how tall it is. To me it looks like it might be too tall for a milking stool or maybe that is because the legs on the stool seem to be a bit "skinny" to hold up a person for as long as "milking" usually takes.

An awful lot of 'support' on the underside for a 20" table.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I wonder if it was salvaged down from a larger table.

20” would be uncomfortable to sit on, too tall as well.

    Oh the humanity!!
The box work underneath the table or stand looks pretty clean, it’s so hard to tell from pictures but it looks like it could still smell of varnish.

To me it looks like a handyman's project 1940s - 60s. Might have sunk the nails and put pegs in to hide the heads.

The legs are braced every which way. I understand that they need some of it to make up for not being inset, but really looks like a piece made to serve a particular purpose that involved a lot of being moved around or holding up a lot of weight. Stand for that humongous Christmas cactus?
