    Just my humble opinion, but this doesn't look "primitive" or "tribal" to me. Artsy, modern creation.

    What does the underside look like and how big or small is it?

    This looks similar to a bowl that was posted on the eBay boards awhile back?.

    It doesn't look like any kind of tribal item that I am familiar with; not NW Coast native for sure. Other than that, I don't know.

    To me it looks like a MCM bowl for, perhaps, chips or the like.

    I think it is very attractive too. :)
