    Good afternoon everyone!

This week you're in for a special treat, as very recently I came into possession of four items that I suspect will be the nicest items I ever have the pleasure of acquiring. If you don't mind, I will be posting these on the forum one at a time over the next week.

My original goal was to post them after polishing was complete, but I know realize that task may sit unfinished for some time so I might as well show them now. I've really only had time to fully polish the first item I'm sharing tonight, I've been working on two other items (not even close to finished) and I haven't even touched the last piece yet.

So, on to the first piece (it's the smallest of the bunch) ;). This is a Seder or Passover Plate that's 14" in diameter. It originates from Portugal and it's 2 lbs of sterling silver:

Take your time. Wait until they are polished. You want to show them at their best.

That would probably be a month from now honestly.

Jackpot! A seder plate like that is worth more than the silver weight too, especially to the right audience. It's not horribly old, but the pre-War pieces didn't survive. Jewish families are buying back their childhoods and heritage just like everyone else.

I usually don't talk specifics for location, but if you are wondering generally, this was not a thrift store find. All of the items I'll be showing were found online.

IOW in this case giving a location wouldn't matter, because it was a oneoff anyway. I'm a Judaica junkie, so I was more curious about whodunnit than wherefoundit.

But I can’t wait to share!! It’s ok, the one I’m posting later tonight is finished, the third one is going to take a very long time to finish, and you’ll have to trust me that the 4th one is just simply beautiful polished or not. I really can’t wait! ;)

I can send you a private message if you would like, I just try to limit the details on larger deals online for obvious reasons.
