Came across this large 5" shaker, fairly tall (for S&P or 'Pounce' ?). It had a rubber cork, so I figured it was fairly modern and it was stamped 'Alpaca' w/ some kind of crest next to it.
Now I believe 'Alpaca' really has no silver content, but on the foot opposite 'Alpaca', another almost illegible word was stamped.Any help would be most welcome re who made this, what is it,and is there any silver in it at all ?
The somewhat garbled word is right under the Alpaca stamp-there's 2 images of it,cause I can't decide which ways up ! :joyful:

Alpaca is nickel silver an alloy with 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc it could be silver plated.

Yep-Got that 'Alpacca' is definitely not even close to real silver.
The only other thing I was trying to figure,is can anyone read that other inscription of gibberish, this inscription (not sure which way is 'up'). I can't make heads or tails -

Looks right to me Brad. This material's inherently worthless scrap-wise,all value would be in the signature, craftsmanship and stones/inlay used.
Like the Arthur Court Aluminum Ice Buckets, except with this-it's JUST the name.
