    Hi DSC01264.jpg DSC01265.jpg DSC01266.jpg ,

I'm trying to figure out who made these pretty pieces,no marks on them. The Brooch is 2" in length. The colours are quite nice, but they don't show up very well in the photos.
    Any ideas appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

Very pretty but I can't help, there are so many unknown makers of nice vintage jewelry beside D&E
Hope someone comes along who can help

Thanks Sharona! I have no clue when it comes to jewels but always pick them up when I see them.

That's a good quality clip fitting. I doubt they can be attributed, but they're well made.

Cx, this is a case where I would post photos on the Ebay jewelry site which is now run as an open group. There are several Delizza and Elster (D&E) semi-experts on there. If Calico is around here, she could give a good opinion as well.

One thing is common with D&E is open backs the glass stone settings. Seeing the back of yours, I would want to check this particular piece for sure. D&E made very high quality costume jewelry from this era and their pieces were not signed. They have a strong following in today's marketplace.

I can PM you the site if you can't find it.

Thanks Lucille! I posted there earlier today and nothing so far. As with most of the boards, they don't seem to be busy anymore.
I first thought Sherman on these, but not finding anything, so I checked the D&E confirmed site and didn't see it. Will keep looking, that is part of the fun:)

Not Sherman. My first thought was Austrian, with those elongated stones. D&E's a possible too.

Are you sure those stones are glass? They look like they are colored but clear enamel.

Those are called elongated navettes and they're almost invariably glass. I've never seen one made of anything else except plastic.

This doesn't look like D&E to me, but that's just my first thought without researching the folders or books. Construction looks 'off' for D&E but it's very pretty.
    Nice colors !

Thanks folks! Yes, these are glass.
'elongated navettes' - thanks evelyb, I didn't know the term!
Schreiner was suggested as a possibility so I'll see what I can find.

Oh dear, Bev is putting on the spot!

My feeling is this is a lovely, unsigned set, not by D&E, but that is just MHO.
