Pretty sure this is a genuine photo print of the time, 1897, to celebrate jubilee and it shows QV and her extended family along with names.

Only shame is it has a tear so could benefit from some restoration, but is it worth it?

Have only found one other copy, sold by UK fine antique arts specialist, so could be rare?

My copy is signed bottom right by someone, not sure if ink or print. Appears to read, k lotzmann along with another word I can't make out and the year 1897. Who could this be? And what's the other word? Interestingly there is no mention of this on the auctioned copy.

As always any info appreciated, if anyone can find out what the other sold for, I'd be interested to know.

Just managed to find some more info actually, it's a printed signature but is jubilee souvenir. Seen one sell on eBay for £3 lol, but one in auction for 1200usd, however that one had a real signature on it. :)

Did you find this? No info about who Lotzmann was. This is in the collection of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Edited: I think the artist's name was Karl Lotzmann. According to this site written in German he was born in 1861 in Schneeberg/ Saxony and was the brother of the painter Paul L. It also says he studied at the Dresden art academy (Kunstakademie) and went to Berlin.

So I believe the image on your card is taken from a painting by Karl Lotzmann.

Here is a 2013 ebay auction for one of these prints. None of the pics are still up. The description says it was taken from a K. Lotzmann painting (more likely from a Lotzmann Lithograph) like Fig says in her replies #3 & #4. It sold for £3.21. The seller says he has seen other prints or mounted prints of it before, but not framed. If the seller did see other prints then the word "very rare" he uses in his description is not so. The whole pic looks stages, not real. I suspect the original painting was a composite of the individual pics and that the royal family definitely didn't sit there while the artist was painting.

Here's another in a Univ. of Pennsylvania art collection:

Here is a K. Lotzmann Chromolithograph of Kaiser Wilhelm and his family.

Hi - I've got one of these - framed, in excellent condition and it has a personal greeting to someone on the back too. They're actually selling these for £11.99 online - so you can buy stock prints. But, with the greeting on, this one is obviously vintage at least - and maybe antique - taking into account that the framing is old-fashioned (with old razor-like bits holding the print into place and old nails as well as some newer ones) I'm going to start it on £19.99 and see what happens. Lots of things sell for only £3 because so many people start them at 99p and people can cash in on it...so, let's give it a go and see! I've found another one on an antiques site, exactly the same as mine, says it's from 1907. Just thought I'd share in case anyone was still interested :D https://www.antiques-atlas.com/antique/queen_victorias_royal_family_tree_photo/as153a426 (they've give the price as "reserved").
