This was in with a bunch of stuff out of a jewelry box (10k gold toe ring, silver plane charm, old bobcat scout pin etc) at an estate sale (bundled it all for a buck mostly for the gold) but am curious if this is of interest. I have no idea so will leave it to the jewelry experts here.
Forgot to add it appears that the figures are under a lacquer of some sort which has flaked off in some spots.

Thanks for the info that looks like it, I tested the metal on the side and it may be low content silver. Now the question is due to condition scrap or save?

    How can you tell?? :)

What estate seller doesn't check their jewelry for metal content? Lucky you!

I have found lots of gold and silver at estate / garage sales that people have overlooked and it certainly adds up! Just as an example Got a bag of earings at one sale (5 dollars) that had about 200 bucks in gold after going thru them. Always carry a loupe with me and try to bundle a bunch of stuff together. Its taken a lot of study and looking to recognize the good stuff.

Garage sales, sure - right @blooey?

But estate sales... My boss happily paid me to look at every single piece of jewelry. We sold to a gold dealer if it wasn't wearable.

Not to say that nothing got by us, but we did our damndest!

Absolutely correct.:) It is really nice, my guess is mid-century.
Probably .840, high enough to be called silver in ethnic terms.
The damage isn't too bad, it will sell, even if it has some issues. It is very pretty and bidders tend to go mad over this style.

If you list it, put the birds in the first photo. Nearly all of them have those polo players and hunters, but few have birds as nice as this one, with that flamboyant peacock. The birds refer to paradise.

I'm a sucker for Persian jewelry if the price is right. Don't scrap those; they're worth more as pendants.
