How to get that darn thrift store magic marker price tag ($2.99) off the bottom?
Tried soap and water and fine sand paper. Still legible.

I found a similar bowl from the artist, Madeline Landing Pots online but
it has a lid. Some of her other stuff appears to be without lids. Is there
something I can look at on a piece that tells me there was once a lid?

Her work I've found online mostly 1980-90's. Is that 1998 on the bottom?

I'm not much into soft colors Southwest style items but this appealed to me. Pots1.jpg Pots 2.jpg

Magic Eraser ought to do it.

On glazed items, rubbing alcohol is good for removing Sharpie marker. On an unglazed item/area, if the ink has penetrated the porous surface, I haven't had any luck. Let me know if Magic Eraser is successful, I hadn't thought of that!

EDIT: If the Magic Eraser doesn't work, how about a dabbing of a dilute bleach solution?

I've used Magic Eraser on unglazed, it sort of absorbs it.
