    Good Evening Everyone,

I have a quick silver game for anyone who would like to play. The goal is always to allow for as many participants as possible, so please try to respond in a way that won't give away too much or spoil for others. Photos below are all you have to work with. Based on the photos, please respond with one of the following answers if the item is priced at approximately $50:

    1. I'm interested, but I'm not quite sure why
    2. I'm interested, and I think I know why
    3. I'm interested, and I know a country
    4. I don't see anything interesting I'm passing
    5. Too expensive I'm passing

I sort of fall between #1 and #6. I'm interested but don't want to commit to purchase without more info.

#5 too expensive for me, but only because I'm clueless...

I think I'll probably pass on George Bernard Shaw too, though I do like Pygmalion. Wrote a paper about that one in school.

    thanks for another game!

I’m interested because you cleaned it. It’s very beautifully detailed. $50 dirty is the way it would have stayed at my house for a bit.

These photos were taken by the seller & are what @MrNate had to go by when he was searching. It may or may not be in his possession by now.

Ok, looks like everyone that wanted to play has had a chance. Would anyone like to reveal their observations? Please remember, don't worry about getting it right or wrong, we are all here to learn!

I think I see a hallmark on the side in the first photo. Even without that, it's an appealing piece.

In pictures one and three there's a tiny punched mark visible under the rim of the vase. I am assuming it is a silver purity mark.
And not sure, but based on a little bit of research I've done since you posted this I'm going to guess it's the French Minerva mark for 950 silver.

Oooooh great eyes @Frank and @LauraGarnet02 !! You are both seeing the clue I was hoping someone would observe. Fabulous observation indeed. Now before I reveal anything further, if you saw what Frank or Laura mentioned, can anyone offer up any suggestions on how you might be able to estimate the weight of the item? What I mean, is could you find a way to research the potential weight before purchasing? Are there any clues in the photos to give you a sense of size?

At first the mark looked to be an "S" and I found something that made me think it was silver plated. Then it looked like an animal face when on its side. It just did not make sense to me that it would be marked in such a place, so I folded.
