    0322171831.jpg 0322171831b.jpg Aloha!

This weekend past I bought a mixed lot from an heir to the (no longer existant) Hawaiian throne.

This quirky basket was part of it.

Her family crest picture is added. The flowers are enamel. It would have been interesting in it's time I guess. Any body seen something like this before?

Is this from the Kawānanakoa estate or the Campbell estate? Not that it makes much difference if you bought it from Quient himself. Is he back in California?

It's from the estate auction sale of Princess Regina Kawananakoa. Sadly, she passed away in December.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wasn't aware. She was very involved with the family trusts and charities - I wonder if they will be as well managed now. I know there has been some mismanagement in the past - one of the hospitals or child welfare foundations, or something.

I'm sure she will be missed..............

PS I'm not sure if she had anything to do with the Campbell trusts or estates but I imagine she did. This may have passed down to her from that lineage.
