Featured R. Lalique France - Join Me in Celebrating

For months, I have been watching this site's auction alerts bound and determined to find a R Lalique piece that I could afford and liked, Rene Lalique Signatures - R Lalique Signatures - Marks - RLalique.com.

Well today, the stars aligned and low and behold the resale shop I frequent asked me to research a few figurines for them. She mentioned that she had also got a Lalique piece in and was going to look it up. I glanced over her shoulder and saw it was a Seashell bowl. I offered to look it up and found it was a Coquilles Bowl with an etched signature and a N 13101? I can't put that in terms of a date.

I didn't put this in the finds thread, because I paid the least auction price for it, so it wasn't a bargain. It was just something that I wanted, and I wanted to share it with you.

I would guess in today's age, most thrifts would recognize lalique. I wanted an older piece that was signed R. Lalique. They have Lalique pieces every once in a while. I just ignore those. Thank you.

 

It wasn't even going out in the store. I gave her the prices from auctions without regard to age, because I don't know that and she picked a price. She usually prices half of ebay.

Pre 1945, I think most coquille pattern items were late 20's early 30's. I think the Marcilhac book has the date range if anyone here has it.
