    From my collection:

This is one of six different Patsy Cline Four Star Records Promo EP first pressings I have in my vintage vinyl collection.

The tracks on this EP were recorded between April 24, 1957 & May 23,1957.
The Four Star Records Promo EP’s are a rare find in the record collecting genre. The ones I have are all for most in an incredible mint playing condition.

There is somewhat of a mystique that surrounds the Four Star pressings. Four Star was Patsy’s first recording contract, and recording sessions, with Decca at first signed on as a mass distributor (some sessions at this time were however done through Decca studios as well) until it became officially her label around 1960-61 when her contract with Four Star had ended. Four Star had also continued to hold her publishing rights. The Four Star Records pressings are considered to be her first true records, and by most recording dates, this looks to be true. There is some debate to this day over that. Despite that, the Four Star pressings are a tough to find rare addition to any Patsy Cline collection.
