Rather interesting Icarus representation figure, help pls

    Hello good people,

    I think this should represent Icarus ("I think" :shy::shy::shy:)...it seems to be cast bronze ("it seems to be" :shy::shy::shy:)...on marble base (I am sure about this :hilarious::shifty::hilarious:)...

    I just love it, but I would really love to find out more (and this time I will not try to guess anything :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:)

    You can see the size compared to zippo lighter (in the last pic), its rather heavy for its size around 900 gr (31 oz or 1.9 lbs) (marble + bronze helps that I guess :joyful::joyful::joyful:)

    I just love it :smug::smug::smug: I hope you will too :):):)

    Well yes...it looks rather like female...but the pose rather reminded me of Icarus...

    This figure conveys triumph in flight (Nike is a good suggestion, as is Spirit of _____.) Icarus conventionally looks more like this:

    Looks like an angel to me. Winged woman.
    I recognize the style, about 1940's if i'm right.
    But the exact style name won't fall into me. Art deco follow up? Early modernist/abstract periode? Somewhere there.
    Argh. Perhaps later.

    BTW, very nice piece. Love these.
