Real cameo?

So I came across these today and could use some inputs on whether you guys think the cameo is real.

 

looks real..........but we need to get closer..

Go to the app store and get a magnifying app. I use Magnifying ++, but there are many to choose from. I paid $1.99 to get one with a light, but they are free. They use your camera to take a picture but you can make it larger

 

Hard to do much with such low quality photos, but this at least will show the ring in the correct position.

 

I had to go back & forth & do a lot of looking, but I think the cameo is real shell, if that's what you mean by is it a real cameo, as long as the figure is the white it appears in some of the pix & not the yellowish shade it looks in some others. When the section of shell is this small, the clue of curved v. flat is lost. I'd still like to see it when you get that magnifying app.

 

I enlarged it as much as I could without distortion.....I think it might be real, but as Komokwa said we really need larger and better resolution images to be sure!!

It's a bit small for the mount, no? May not be original to it.

 

It is also not long enough, doesn't go all the way down, so ditto on not original.
That being said, the carving is nicer than many other small cameos, and the ring is an oldie.

 

I use the Camera+2 App and find it very good. There is far less shadow than with the standard camera and has a macro setting. The only time it’s not so good is if I crop an already close up pic and then reduce the quality to load it on here. Seems ok as long as I don’t crop it too close. A very cheap small light box was a game changer for me too.

Yeah I’m pretty sure now that it is not the original setting, it wiggles and rattles a bit if I shake it.

 

I think it's shell, but it doesn't belong in that mount.

 

Okay good enough for me a cheap was to have a nice little cameo on one of my shelves .. I dig its

 

I think the jeweler made it fit, that's all......
