Recently Got Into Collecting Antiques

    Hello!
    I volunteer at a thrift shoppe, and one of the benefits of the job is being able to take home unsellable items. Usually it's just been worthless junk, but I recently took home some very tarnished silver (most likely silver-plated) pieces that I thought looked nice, even with the tarnish. There were also two old-looking spoons in the box, and I've decided to start looking for antique items. (I know, odd thing to start an interest in antiques)
    I also like drawing and animating, and collecting old postcards.

    Welcome, and post pictures of anything you can't identify! We'll try to figure out things for the shop too. They have to be reformatted to be 600x800 pixels or less in size, and I think it's a max of three per post. Just use the Upload a File button next to the Reply button.

    When I worked at my local thrift-shop, I got to buy whatever I wanted half-price, provided it was at the end of my shift. I bought some great antiques that way.

    Yes, I get the half-price thing too. However, even with that most antique items are out of budget at the moment. (ah, the downsides of being an unemployed minor. At least I'm getting service hours out of it)
